The MTC Membership Committee hosts Industry Meet Ups from time to time, around the state. These events are for members to reconnect, new members to meet fellow MTC members and our Board members and for MTC to meet potential new members. We invite local businesses who would like to grow their business in the hospitality industry to join us to learn more about what the Maryland Tourism Coalition has to offer and how to become a member.
These events are FREE to attend and open to all tourism industry professionals, but registration is required as a courtesy to the venue. Attendees will be responsible for their own food & beverage unless otherwise noted!
Industry Meet Up
Wednesday, July 22 | 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
The Maryland Tourism Coalition is pleased to return to Western Maryland! MTC is partnering with the Garrett County Chamber of Commerce for an evening of networking at Deep Creek Lake.
Join us on Wednesday, July 22, from 4:00–6:00 PM at Firewater Kitchen & Bar for a relaxed and engaging opportunity to connect with tourism professionals from across the region.
These events are designed for members to reconnect, welcome new members, and introduce prospective members to the Maryland Tourism Coalition. Meet fellow industry professionals, connect with MTC Board members, and learn how MTC supports and advocates for Maryland’s tourism and hospitality community.
We also welcome local businesses interested in growing within the hospitality industry to attend and discover the benefits of MTC membership.

These registrations are a separate registration from the Industry Meet Up so you do need to make fill them out separately. You do not have to attend the Meet Up in order to participate in the excursions. But would love to have you at both!
Hike to Maryland’s Rock Maze
1pm-2pm, Potomac-Garrett State Forest
Explore one of the state’s hidden gems through a hike to Maryland’s rock maze! This flat, 1-mile out-and-back trail is opportunity to explore nature in Mountain Maryland and connect with colleagues while spending time outdoors. No special equipment is necessary. Please sign-up by COB Monday, July 20.
Beginner Mountain Biking Excursion
12pm-2:30pm, Savage River State Forest
Adventure through Savage River State Forest on this beginner-friendly afternoon bike ride! We’ll head to the Margraff Plantation area and ride along the new adaptive trail. With plenty of breaks and the guidance of experienced mountain biking leader Sarah Myers from the Deep Creek Adventure Bureau, this excursion is a great choice for new bikers and experienced cyclists. No prior experience necessary, and equipment can be provided. Please sign up by COB on Monday, July 20.
Deep Creek Boat Tours
High Mountain Sports will be providing boat tours of Deep Creek Lake during the event. Tours will be every half hour on the half hour. Boat holds 12 people and will be first come first serve each trip.
